[Textographies] is a text-driven artistic research project exploring the media-material conditions of a poetic text in exile. It articulates itself through various forms, from a textographic performance to an exhibition of material and digital scriptural traces, accompanied by a publication in progress.
This project deals with the political displacement of poetics on a media-formal level, instead of treating it as a mere plot, motive or vocabulary. When textuality is re-shaped by changing socio-technical constraints, poetic texts undergo a transformation in both form and function. Oscillating between writing, translating, debating, performing and video-making, [Textographies] imagines a new media-institutional form for experimental poetry.
